Gear could be an issue. I go for Sta when I'm gearing pvp - I feel I need hit points to survive when meleers get on me. Agi is very important, but w/out enough hitpoints, you won't last.
Can you kite? That is the art of getting to range and using your bow to kill meleers. The Q and E keys strafe. You zoom away at full speed w/ these - better than backing up, which is slow. As long as target's in your forward facing 180 deg. arc, you can shoot em. Holding E and tapping A lets you circle - also holding Q and tapping D. The more you tap, the tighter the circle. There is nothing worse, if you're a rogue or warrior, than being wingclipped and circled by a hunter. You use arcane shot and sting (which you can cast on the run) - use traps as needed - pet chips away - and you can win.
Pallies are hard because of BoF (blessing of freedom) - zilches all movement impairments. You can only kite a pal when this is in cooldown. I ...
